We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Sr. Accounting Analyst who will be responsible for reviewing financial statements, analyzing balance sheets and variances, ensuring adherence to local standards and headquarters guidelines, as well as managing and promoting the application of internal policies and strengthening internal controls and compliance. The position will play an important role in interacting with global teams, audits, and supporting corporate and tax matters related to service delivery.
What you’ll be doing:
- Act as the main interface with outsourced accounting, ensuring alignment and quality of deliverables
- Review monthly financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, and management reports)
- Perform detailed analysis of accounting accounts and balance sheet analysis, including reconciliations and investigating discrepancies
- Compare and ensure consistency between local numbers and those reported to headquarters
- Identify, analyze, and explain significant variations and accounting inconsistencies
- Ensure compliance with local accounting standards (BR GAAP) and corporate policies
- Monitor and validate tax obligations, focusing on service-related activities
- Handle corporate matters, including support for documentation and interactions with external advisors
- Support and follow up on internal and external audits, providing the necessary information and documentation
- Ensure governance and adherence to internal policies by acting as a facilitator with other departments and conducting verification audits for monitoring Compliance.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of accounting, tax, and internal control processes. Support the implementation of new processes, operations, and related administrative tasks.
- Interact with internal areas (MAINLY ACCOUNTS PAYABLE, FP&A, PURCHASING, Operations) and GSC.
About you:
- Accounting, Administration or related areas
- Strong background in internal audit, tax routines
- Previous experiences with balance sheet analysis and account reconciliations
- Advanced English knowlwdge (mandatory)
- Ability to work independently and with multiple stakeholders.
